Following the recent changes in COVID-19 Protection Levels – and the newly-erected covered area to allow teaching outdoors – we were able to launch a condensed Hands On Beekeeping programme on Sunday 8th August for the New Beekeepers from 2020 and 2021 courses.

The HOB course will run weekly on Sundays until mid-September. We plan to have a sequential programme of teaching based on the Basic Beekeeping Lectures. To some extent, this will be artificially constructed because of the timescale but we feel this will be beneficial to the new beekeepers, whether they have bees or not.

We were delighted to meet 25 of the New Beekeepers last Sunday and the covered area was certainly put to good test with a couple of torrential downpours.
